Valerie and Jake are from future Paragon City. They illicitly followed a friend into the past, and have started to visit regularly to spy on 'past versions' of their parents.
Valerie is the 'younger' twin. She is a natural tech genius and an inventor. She is also an accomplished martial artist. Val is something of a tomboy, reckless and daring. She'd much rather spend her time out partying or tinkering in her shop than studying.
She and her uptight, studious brother bicker and argue all the time (when they aren't teasing each other). However, when push comes to shove, no one had better hurt her brother...or else. The same goes for Jake; no one hurts his 'little' sister. Their personalities are so different they just tend to clash, but they are always a team.
Val is very close to her father, but as a teenaged girl she comes into conflict with her mother. Likewise, Jake is very close to his mother, but very formal with his father. Still, they are a close, loving, tightly bonded family unit--and the bad guys had better watch out if the Rockwell clan is after them
